Who We Are
Lakeview House Skilled Nursing & Residential Care Facility has a rich history dating back to its origins as the private residence of the Shattuck family. Originally a lavish estate featuring marble fireplaces and mahogany staircases, it transformed over the years.
In 1946, James and Florence Sexton purchased the property and converted it into Kenoza Lake Health Resort, offering rest home services before expanding into a fully-fledged skilled nursing facility. Their daughter, Marion, a Beverly Hospital School of Nursing graduate, joined the professional staff, embodying the family’s commitment to compassionate care.
In 1983, Jon D. Guarino acquired the facility, renaming it Lakeview House. Under his ownership, Lakeview House flourished, maintaining its family-owned ethos while expanding its capacity.
Today, Lakeview House remains a beacon of compassionate care, offering 23 licensed skilled care beds and 65 residential care beds. Administrator William Grimes leads a dedicated team, ensuring residents receive personalized attention and support. With a focus on nurturing relationships and creating a home-like environment, Lakeview House continues to uphold its legacy of excellence in care provision.
